RECIDIVISM
OUR VISION
OUR MISSION

Recidivism is "the tendency of a convicted criminal to reoffend." Coffee Crafters Academy seeks to be part of the holistic solution needed to reduce recidivism.

Our vision is a world with more inclusive, supportive and forgiving communities that believe in the power of second chances.

Our mission is to aid successful and sustained reentry of justice involved individuals back into communities across the US via employment in the coffee industry.

"WITH THIS COFFEE CRAFTERS OPPORTUNITY, WHAT I BREW UP FOR MY FUTURE IS IN MY HANDS."

HELP US CREATE
SECOND CHANCES

Employment has the power to greatly reduce an individual's likelihood to return to prison by contributing to the following:

+ Refocuses individual's time and efforts on pro-social activities, making them

less likely to engage in riskier behaviors and to associate with people who do.

+ Enables individuals to contribute income to their families, which can generate more personal

support, stronger, positive relationships, enhanced self-esteem, and improved mental health.

+ Creates a gateway to becoming and remaining a law-abiding and contributing member of community.

+ Offers societal benefits, including reduced strain on social service resources,

contributions to the tax base, and safer, more stable communities.
